Fremont Public Schools officials, Fremont Mayor Joey Spellerberg, the Charlie Diers family and other city leaders attended the groundbreaking ceremony Monday for Deer Pointe Elementary School.
The event was originally scheduled for last week, but was postponed due to weather and site conditions.
