The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a personal-injury crash that occurred Monday afternoon.

Deputies responded at about 1:50 p.m. to the accident on U.S. Highway 30 at County Road 4 — about two miles west of North Bend.

It was determined that a Kenworth semi-tractor trailer driven by Daniel Furasek, 46, of Valparaiso was eastbound on Highway 30 and slowed to turn onto County Road 4. A white Kenworth semi-tractor trailer driven by Torell Dubose, 35, of Warren, Ohio, failed to slow down and collided with the rear of the trailer causing both vehicles to roll onto their sides.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Dubose was transported to Methodist Fremont Health with minor injuries. The highway was closed for about five hours.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Nebraska State Patrol, North Bend Volunteer Fire and Rescue, the Nebraska Department of Transportation, Mike’s Towing and Arrow Towing.
