Location moved for Concert in the Park Series

MainStreet of Fremont has announced a temporary location change for the 2026 Concert in the Park Series due to ongoing construction at John C Fremont City Park.

Construction timelines for the park’s new amphitheater have shifted, and the project will not be completed in time for this summer’s concert series. In addition, the current construction area does not allow enough space to safely accommodate the trailer stage and audience traditionally used for performances.

To ensure the series can still move forward this summer, MainStreet of Fremont has made arrangements, pending City Council approval on May 26th, to host the concerts in the Ilgenfritz Parking Lot on Park Avenue between Third and Fourth Streets in Fremont.

The series will continue to feature live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities throughout the summer. Officials said to stay tuned for plans for the July 9 concert to kick off John C Fremont Days as construction continues.

“While this isn’t the location we originally planned for, we’re excited to still bring the community together for live music this summer,” MainStreet Executive Director Lainey Paquette said. “We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and support as we adapt to the construction timeline and continue creating a vibrant and active downtown experience.”

Concert dates, band information, and additional event details will continue to be shared through MainStreet of Fremont’s social media pages and website.

MainStreet of Fremont encourages guests to take advantage of the many downtown parking lots and make an evening of it by shopping, dining, or stopping for a drink at one of the surrounding downtown businesses before the concert begins. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating during the performances.
