Meyer, Monke, Wasenius Nielsen to join board

Casey Meyer, Adam Monke and Carol Wasenius Nielsen will join the Fremont Area Community Foundation Board of Directors starting July 1.

“One of the foundation’s best assets is its board of directors,” said executive director Melissa Diers. “The caliber and commitment of the individuals who have answered the call to serve the Fremont Area Community Foundation over the years is exceptional and evident in the growth and impact our organization has realized over the past four decades. We are thrilled to continue that tradition with the addition of these outstanding community leaders.”

Meyer is vice president, finance and business partner, for global infrastructure at Valmont Industries, Inc. She leads the finance function for the Global Infrastructure Group within Valmont.

Monke is president and CEO of Nebraska Irrigated Seeds, a family-owned and operated company founded in the mid-1930s. He is also a partner in Able CBD, a hemp and CBD company that specializes in fully integrated seed to product, 0 percent THC CBD and hemp.

Wasenius Nielsen is director of operations at RetirePath Advisors, LLC (formerly known as Thrivent Financial) in Fremont. She oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm’s five branches.

Directors Shawn May (three years), Joe Sajevic (nine years) and Jessup Wilson (nine years) are completing their terms. The retiring board members will be honored during the foundation’s annual dinner in November.
