A Fremont man was arrested Friday afternoon on an outstanding Dodge County arrest warrant at a residence in the 1600 block of North H Street.
Michael A. Wright, 40, was arrested at about 3:45 p.m. While being taken into custody, Wright allegedly removed an item from his pocket and threw it into the yard of the residence.
Officers retrieved a pipe that contained a powdery substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Wright was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence.
Also on Friday, at about 8:05 a.m., Ronald K. Reed, 60, of Fremont was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order following an altercation in the 1700 block of North H Street.
Reed was in the company of a former acquaintance from whom he is prohibited from contacting.
