Midland University Associate Athletics Director Steve Heimann is out on bond following his arrest Wednesday morning.
Heimann, 50, is charged with suspicion of first degree sexual assault, a Class II felony; and suspicion of unlawful intrusion without consent. The latter is a Class IV felony.
A warrant for Heimann’s arrest was issued on April 30. He was released Wednesday morning after posting 10% of his $100,000 bond.
Heimann is the former head football coach at Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota. That school closed in the summer of 2023. He was hired by MU in September of 2023.
The alleged incident occurred in October of last year.
