The Nebraska Library Commission has announced the recipients of the Youth Grants for Excellence, awarded to libraries throughout the state.
The program was established to provide funding to libraries for projects that they would not normally be able to undertake.
The commission said 39 libraries in the state were awarded $37,000 in grants.
Among the facilities receiving grants were: Lied Tekamah Public Library, Mead Public Library, North Bend Public Library, Valley Public Library and Yutan Public Library.
