3RPHD COVID-19 Risk Dial Sees Large Decrease

The COVID-19 Community Risk Dials for the Three Rivers Public Health Department (3RPHD) jurisdiction of Dodge, Washington, and Saunders counties has been updated for the week.
3RPHD Jurisdiction:

  • 2.71 Current Week
  • 3.14 Previous Week

This week the 3RPHD jurisdiction dropped to 2.71 due to a decrease in the number of cases over the past 3 weeks, a decrease in weekly positivity, a decrease in the average OMHCC inpatients diagnosed with COVID-19, and a decrease in community spread.
Dodge County:

  • 2.57 Current Week
  • 3.14 Previous Week

Saunders County:

  • 2.71 Current Week
  • 3.00 Previous Week

Washington County

  • 2.86 Current Week
  • 3.14 Previous Week

“I am pleased to report that within the 3RPHD health jurisdiction there have been a total of 10,606 COVID-19 vaccinations administered so far between our healthcare partners, Ashland Pharmacy and 3RPHD,” said Terra, Uhing, Executive Director at Three Rivers Public Health Department. “Please remember that we moved to Phase 1B this week and are partnering with Methodist Fremont Health, Saunders Medical Center, Memorial Community Hospital & Health System, and Ashland Pharmacy to vaccinate the 65+ age group working off our 3RPHD waitlists. Please be patient with us as we are only receiving 900 doses each week within the health jurisdiction.”
The main factors considered in the risk dials include:

  • The increase in the number of COVID-19 cases over the past three weeks.
  • The increase in the percentage of positive COVID-19 tests.
  • The capacity of the district and local healthcare system including the number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19, the ventilators being utilized, and the percentage available of adult ICU beds.
  • The presence of community clusters and or community spread.
  • The availability of 3RPHD to trace all identified contacts of positive cases in 48 hours.

As a reminder 3RPHD updates the community risk dials each Wednesday, and the 3RPHD Data Dashboard is updated each weekday and can be found at https://www.threeriverspublichealth.org/COVID-19/COVID-19-Updates. Please visit our website to learn more.
