L. Ray Alcott, 71, of Fremont, NE, passed away October 31, 2020, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont. Ray was born January 19, 1949 in Anchorage, Alaska to Lester and Bernice (Peterson) Alcott.
He spent part of his childhood residing at Lake Ozark in Missouri before moving to Fremont. Ray graduated from Fremont High School in 1967.  He worked at Valmont Industries for several years.  After working at Valmont, Ray owned and operated Sharp Services plumbing company.  Later, Ray was employed by Carmody Plumbing and retired from Janke Plumbing, both of Omaha.  Ray married Kay Henrichson on May 15, 1971, in Wahoo, NE.
Ray was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Fremont.  He was a Scout leader and enjoyed woodworking.
Ray is survived by his son, Dana Alcott of Fremont; daughter, Amy (Nick) Nicola of Omaha; 2 grandchildren, Nathan Betzinger, and Zane Nicola; brothers-in-law, Dave (Edna) Henrichson and Randy (Teri) Henrichson both of Fremont, Al (Joyce) Henrichson of Branson, Missouri, and Roger (Kim) Henrichson of Trinity, Florida; sisters-in-law, Virginia Shellard of Fremont and Lil (Steve) Bloemker of Omaha; nephew, Tom (Susie) Townsend of Lake Ozark, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kay; 2 sisters, Pat and Lois; and brother, Wally.
Memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, November 6, 2020, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Memorial visitation with family receiving friends will be from 5 PM until 7 PM, Thursday, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.  Burial will be at a later date.
