DeAnn Christine Stover, 58, of Lincoln passed away March 27, 2024.

She was born November 27, 1965, in Fremont to Irvin and Judith (Weickum) Stover. DeAnn was raised on the family farm east of Uehling and graduated in 1984 from Logan View Jr/Sr High School. She graduated With Distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she was admitted to the Phi Beta Kappa honorary society.

DeAnn was the owner of Stover Law Office in Lincoln. She was a graduate of the University of Nebraska School of Law, and a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association.

Surviving family members include her father, Irvin Stover; sister Katherine (Rick) Jensen, Lyons, Colorado; and life partner Peter Blakeslee, Lincoln. Beloved aunts, uncles, close cousins, step-brothers and sister, and many, many friends mourn her passing.

DeAnn is preceded in death by her mother Judith (Weickum) Stover, stepmother Goldie (Mohr) Stover, and special kitties Harvey, Skaggs, and Atticus.

She was a beautiful person outside and in, the best big sister, and a friend to all people and animals who were fortunate enough to have known her. If you knew her, you would have witnessed her fantastic sense of humor. Her smile and laughter were infectious, and she brightened every room she entered. As her sister there was no one who could make me laugh more. Therefore, it would be a grievous omission to not mention that she was also the 1985 Dodge County Livestock Feeder Queen.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont at 2 p.m. May 10, 2024. The family will be present beginning at 1 p.m. to greet friends.

As DeAnn never met an animal or person in need who she didn’t want to help, the family requests Memorials to The Cat House or Friendship Home of Lincoln. Condolences online at www.Roperandsons.com and www.Ludvigsenmortuary.com.
