Barry R. Kirschenmann, 68 years, of Fremont, Nebraska died Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at his home.
Barry was born July 4, 1951 at Yankton, South Dakota to Vernon and Fern Kirschenmann.  He was a 1969 graduate of Yankton High School.  He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1971 to 1975 during the Vietnam War.  He lived at Las Vegas until moving to Fremont in the 1980’s.  He owned and operated House of Tile.  Barry was a very active member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 18 of Fremont.
He is survived by spouse, Irene McDonald of Fremont; sons, Sean Burger of Las Vegas, Nevada, Justin (Emily) Kirschenmann of North Bend, Nebraska and Dylan (Kathy Jensen) Kirschenmann of Morse Bluff, Nebraska; daughter, Miranda Price of Fremont; step-son, Justin Adams of Fremont; step-daughters, Amanda Kendall of Fremont and Heather Clemons of Omaha; sisters, Pam (Terry) Kuchta of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Cheryl Hoffman of Yankton, South Dakota; brothers-in-law, Roy (Denise) McDonald and Greg (Betty) George all of Fremont; sisters-in-law, Roylene Harvey and Roxanne Fuchs both of Fremont; 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Christensen; and brother-in-law, Curt Christensen.
Graveside service 1 PM, Friday, June 19, 2020 at Platteville Cemetery south of Fremont, with military honors.  The Rev. Scott Jensen will officiate. Memorials may be given to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 18 of Fremont.
