Randall “Randy” G. Newill, 74, of Fremont passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026, at his home. He was born on February 15, 1952 in Fremont to George and Marie (Swanson) Newill.
Randy served in the U.S. Marines from January 6, 1970 to January 5, 1972. He resided in Fremont for the majority of his life and retired from Kiewit Construction where he was a foreman for 35 years. He was a former member of the Nebraska Airboaters Association, and Laborers Local 1140. He enjoyed the outdoors; camping, hunting, fishing and air boating. He also had a love for restoring his old cars and treasured the time he spent with family and friends.
Randy is survived by his wife, Kathie (Jindra) Newill; son, TJ Newill both of Fremont; daughters Julie Collins of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, Tobie (Monte) Leu-Newill of Columbus, Katie (Nicholas) Knuth of Kearney; brothers, Rolland Newill, Dave (Christy) Newill; sisters, Sharon Henry, Betty Rasmussen and Janice (Leonard) Sampson; sister in law, Diane Newill all of Fremont, and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters; Fern Cooper, Diane Newill, Georgia Mueller, and Naomi Marconett; brothers, Keith, Eddie, James, Mert, and Larry Newill.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 27, 2026 at Doe’s Place in Fremont.
