Beverly A. Rice, 96, of Fremont passed away Friday, May 1, 2026 at Nye Square in Fremont. She was born February 9, 1930, in Fremont to August and Ruby (Millar) Westphal.
Beverly grew up In Fremont and graduated from Fremont Senior High School. She worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone for several years and later for Gerald Sampter’s in Fremont for many years. Beverly married Donald E. Rice August 14, 1949 in Fremont. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2020.
She was a member of the Fremont Presbyterian Church and the Fremont Golf Club.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda (Kevin) Root of Fremont and Lori (Lou) DePasquale of Puerto Penasco, Mexico; son, Mike Rice (Heather Zilles) of Phoenix, Arizona; sister, Victoria Welstead of Waco, Texas; four granddaughters; seven great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; brothers, A. Wilmer and Ronald (Juliette) Westphal; sister, Joyce Westphal and brother-in-law, Bill Welstead.
Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M., Tuesday also at Moser’s. Private interment will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
