Michael J. Riley, 77, of Fremont passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Nye Pointe in Fremont. He was born September 2, 1948 in Fremont to Francis and Mary (Winnington) Riley.
Michael grew up in Fremont and lived also in Omaha, Las Vegas, Papillion-LaVista and came back to Fremont. He worked as a maintenance Tech for the Papillion Public Schools.
He was an avid bowler and loved his family and music. He also enjoyed camping and going to Disney World. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to him.
Michael is survived by his significant special friend, Emily Riley of Omaha; son, Steven (April) Riley of Harlan, Iowa; daughters, Candy Riley of Fremont and Amanda Riley of Harlan, Iowa; sisters, Joyce Poledna of Las Vegas, Kathleen Thompson of Topeka, Kansas, and Frances Michalsky of Delaware; six grandchildren, Brittany and Kyle Townsend, Courtney (Alex) Korman, Raven and Nikolai Spahn and Charles Riley; four great-grandchildren, Serenity and Tayln Wilcoxen, Kennedi Ray and Adelyn Korman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Riley and sisters, Jo Riley, Peggy, Barb and Mary.
