Former District 15 state senator Lynne Walz of Fremont on Tuesday announced details about her statewide listening tour.

Walz will travel across the state for a series of town hall listening sessions with Nebraskans. The events will take over four days between Dec. 10-13.

Walz announced that she is exploring a run for Governor last week, stating that this would be “a campaign for the people” and before deciding on a formal bid she wants to hear directly from Nebraskans about the issues they are facing.

“I’m hitting the road to get out into communities all across our state so I can hear directly from Nebraskans about the issues they’re struggling with and talk about how we can move forward together. Like my fellow neighbors, I am struggling with the rising costs, specifically healthcare and housing, and especially with property taxes. These are not partisan issues and we need to be laser focused on finding solutions to the things we are all struggling with” said Walz.
