Authorities are investigating sexual abuse allegations involving Bishop Neumann Catholic School students in Wahoo.

Two students have been expelled for their alleged roles in the incidents. According to search warrants one of the incidents occurred during a religion class while the other happened at an upperclassman’s house.

In one of the cases, a teenager held down a younger student while another pulled down the victim’s gym shorts and attempted to sexually assault him with a sports drink bottle.

According to police, the incidents were recorded by other students on their cell phones.

Neumann officials sent a letter to families noting that they are working closely with law enforcement.

“When Bishop Neumann administrators learned of allegations involving students of Bishop Neumann High School, we reported these allegations to local law enforcement. Administrators have been working with local law enforcement and appreciate their efforts,” the letter said.
