FPS, Bergan, Trinity plan early dismissal

Fremont Public Schools, Archbishop Bergan Catholic Schools and Trinity Lutheran Schools are announcing an early release day on Wednesday, Dec. 15, due to the forecasted inclement weather.
 
All schools and programs will be released early and buses will run accordingly based on the schedule outlined below. FPS K-8 Students will be served lunch prior to dismissal. Afternoon pre-school, practices and the after school programs are canceled. FPS facilities will be closed to outside use.
 
The FPS release schedule will be as follows:

  • Pathfinder Program – 10:15 a.m. dismissal
  • Morning Pre-school – 10:45 a.m. dismissal
  • Fremont High School – 11:20 a.m. dismissal – As previously scheduled
  • Elementary – 11:30 a.m. dismissal
  • Johnson Crossing – 11:35 a.m. dismissal
  • Fremont Middle School – 11:45 a.m. dismissal

 
 All Fremont Public School District offices and buildings will close at 1:00 pm.
 
 “The forecast and warnings issued by the National Weather Service are unlike what we have dealt with in the past,” FPS Superintendent Mark Shepard said. “Dismissal immediately following an early lunch will keep our students safe while attending to their nutritional needs.”
 
Archbishop Bergan Catholic Schools and Trinity Lutheran Schools are releasing at 12:30 p.m. with no after school or evening practices or programs.
 
“In an effort to keep our students and staff safe we believe dismissing them early will provide the opportunity for them to remain out of the elements,” Bergan Principal Dan Koenig said.
