
Scott Eveland, Dodge County Republican chair, and committee members John and Elaine Grothusen attended the Nebraska GOP State Central Committee meeting Jan. 30-31 in Kearney.
Nebraska GOP State Chair Mary Jane Truemper led the meeting. There were 145 delegates from the state that attended.
Major Nebraska GOP business included adapting the annual budget, accepting the resignation of long time GOP Treasurer David Plond and appointing Greg Epp from Hamilton County as the new treasurer.
The body accepted the allocation of the 400 delegates to the state convention set for June 6 in LaVista. Dodge County will have seven delegates and seven alternates at the convention. The counties’ allocations are based on the number of registered Republican voters per county.
Dodge County State Convention delegates and alternates will be selected at the Dodge County GOP Convention on April 10 at the Fremont Eagles Club.
