Fremont resident Larry Ludvigsen will be receiving the keys to a 2026 Toyota bZ Thursday after winning a national contest that supports Special Olympics.
Ludvigsen will receive the Toyota bZ during a ceremony at 2 Thursday afternoon at Village Pointe Toyota, 18201 Cuming Street in Elkhorn.
Officials said Ludvigsen was selected from more than 19,200 contestants throughout the United States.
According to a press release, in the fall of 2025 Special Olympics Inc. launched the Special Olympics Toyota bZ Sweepstakes. It was an opportunity for supporters across the U.S. to win the all-electric vehicle while helping to create inclusive opportunities for Special Olympics athletes.
The campaign raised about $143,000 for Special Olympics Inc.
