Fremont are investigating a hit-and-run pedestrian crash that occurred at about 9:12 Tuesday night near the 1900 block of East 23rd Street.
When police arrived, an adult male was observed unconscious in the roadway and was transported to Methodist Fremont Health. The suspect and the vehicle were no longer at the scene.
An investigation was initiated and the suspected vehicle was later located unoccupied in a parking lot near 16th and Lincoln streets. The vehicle was seized and the owner was contacted.
Sebastian Jose Gutierrez, 21, of Fremont was arrested for leaving the scene of an injury accident, no operator’s license and tampering with physical evidence.
