The Bob Tichota Fire Prevention Fun Day is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Fremont State Lakes Activity Center Lake #16 (4349 W. State Lakes Road).
The 10th annual event is hosted by the Fremont Rural Fire Department and East Central Nebraska Fire Prevention Co-op.
The event features the OPPD Respect Trailer, 911 dispatch, Sheriff/State Patrol Roll Over/Seatbelt Simulator, Hazard House and Union Pacific Operations Safety Program.
There will also be children’s games and activities, the opportunity to meet Smokey Bear, the smoke trailer experience and fire truck rides. Free food, including hamburgers, hot dogs and chips will be available.
Free will donations will be gladly accepted.
Participants should note that a valid vehicle park entry permit is required for any motorized vehicle entering Fremont State Lakes.
