The Fremont Memorial Day Ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at the Memorial Park Eternal Flame, located on East Military Avenue south of the Sidner Ice Arena.
The event, which open to the public, will feature guest speaker Capt. Paul Young of the United States Navy.
Young is a 1988 graduate of Fremont High School and a 1992 graduate of the University of Nebraska. He was a career Navy Surface Warfare Officer with about 33 years of service. He is currently the commanding officer and professor of Naval Science at the University of Oklahoma.
