The Fremont Family YMCA Board of Directors has named Terry Gilfry as the interim CEO during the transitional period of naming a new, permanent CEO.
Gilfry is very familiar with Fremont Family YMCA and has extensive experience in community service and organizational leadership.
“We are excited to welcome Terry into this leadership role,” said Scott Jensen, board chair. “Terry is committed to our mission and will help guide the organization forward as we continue to serve the needs of families, youth, and individuals across our community. The Y is a cornerstone of Fremont and has grown in many ways over the last few years. We want to continue a path of growth and honor our tradition of service around youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.”
The board has initiated a comprehensive search for a permanent CEO. In a press release, officials said they are committed to finding a leader who shares the Y’s vision and values, and who will build upon the strong foundation that has been established.
Officials noted that updates will be shared with the community as the search progresses.
