Penny Miller of Scribner is the first winner of a 2025 Ford F-150 XLT truck in the 30th edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s $2 Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game.
Miller purchased her winning Truck$ & Buck$ ticket at Scribner Express at 205 Railroad St. in Scribner. She was presented with her new truck on March 31 by Nebraska Lottery officials.
Miller’s a big Truck$ & Buck$ fan. With a few tickets by her side, Miller was scratching off her tickets at home when she saw three matching symbols in a row followed by a truck symbol.
“I just kind of sat there for a minute,” she said. “I wasn’t 100 percent sure I actually won until I sent a picture to my friend and she looked at it too.”
Miller said that even though she’s won the truck, she’s still going to keep playing and grabbed a few tickets the day of the truck presentation.
The truck was a wonderful surprise, she said, even though she just bought a new vehicle about a month before.
“I think I’m going to hang on to both of them,” Miller said. “Just enjoy that two-car life for a while.”
