The Fremont Family YMCA is proud host the 37th annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 28).
The day starts with the 5-mile race at 8:30 a.m. followed by the 2-mile run and 1-mile walk at 8:35 a.m. Both the 2 mile and 5-mile runs will be chip-timed by Run Nebraska, with awards for the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top 2 finishers in each of the following age groups*:
• 10 & under
• 11-13
• 14-17
• 18-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60+
Runners will start at the YMCA, 810 N Lincoln Ave., to 16th Street. Runners will run east on 16th Street then back to the Y. Officials said Five-mile runners go to Johnson Crossing Academic Center and back to the Y. Please visit the Y’s Facebook page (facebook.com/FremontFamilyYMCA) to see the map of the race.
Join us inside the YMCA after the race for announcements of winners in each age category, where we will hand out medals for the top 2 in each category, and Pinnacle Bank will be on hand serving up warm apple cider and pumpkin pie after the race.
