The 31st Annual RVR Bank/Fremont Golf Club Fremont Area Junior Golf Tournament was conducted Monday at the Fremont Golf Club. There were 33 golfers from ages 7-18 who participated.
A winning score of 46 was recorded by both Logan Whaley in the Boys 15-18 division and Avery Ridder in the Girls 15-18 division. Preston Lea won for a consecutive year with a 44 in the Boys 13-14 division while Elora Schneringer also had a repeat win with a 40 in the Girls 13-14 division. Winners of the 11-12 division were Max Lamprecht with a 51 for the boys and Katelyn Zwiener with a 48 for the girls.
Elias Champ had a three-peat win in the Boys 9-10 6-hole division with a 24 and London Lea had a repeat win with a 37 in the Girls 9-10 6-hole division. The 7-8 year old division featured a three hole tournament that was won by Grayson Jorgensen with a 16 for the boys and a tie between Lennon Ulrich and Merelise Champ with an 18 for the girls.
This year’s tournament featured two brother/sister winning combos – Preston & London Lea and Elias and Merelise Champ.
