Customers can now pay their City of Fremont utility bills in cash at Baker’s, Walgreens, Love’s and Dollar General.
Officials said to go to the one-time City of Fremont online customer portal and select “cash” as the payment option. Then, choose your preferred retail store. You’ll be sent a special barcode by either text or email (your preference) to bring into the store.
With the barcode in hand, visit any checkout aisle and the cashier will scan the barcode and accept the cash bill payment.
Visit the City of Fremont customer portal and use the “make one-time payment” option to get started.
