The Fremont Police Department is investigating a report of an armed robbery of a vehicle that occurred Wednesday morning.
At about 1:29 a.m., patrol units began searching for both the stolen vehicle and another vehicle involved. The stolen vehicle was a Subaru Legacy and the other vehicle involved was an SUV.
Patrol officers were able to locate and attempted to stop both which resulted in a pursuit. The pursuit entered multiple jurisdictions and involved multiple agencies. The pursuit of the SUV ended in a crash near the Platte River bridge.
The driver of the SUV sustained injuries resulting in him being life flighted. The other individual in the SUV was treated at Methodist Fremont Health and released to authorities.
The second vehicle, a Subaru Legacy, and a third individual believed to be involved were located at another location.
FPD officials note that this is an ongoing investigation with more information to follow as it becomes available.
