Traffic stop leads to man’s arrest for outstanding warrant

A traffic stop led to the arrest of a Fremont man on Friday morning.

At about 5:30 a.m., Eduardo Lopez-Rodriguez, 26, was arrested on suspicion of multiple charges following the stop in the 2400 block of east 23rd Avenue.  Lopez-Rodgriguez was operating a motor vehicle and was stopped for speeding.

Lopez-Rodriguez provided a false name to the officer. His identity was eventually confirmed using a mobile fingerprint scanner and it was learned Lopez-Rodgriguez had an outstanding warrant for his arrest through Dodge County.  Lopez-Rodriguez was arrested on the outstanding warrant and additionally charged with false reporting, no operators license, no proof of insurance, and speeding.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office assisted in this arrest.
