FPD warns of phone scam

The Fremont Police Department said there is a scam involving phone calls from individuals claiming to be law enforcement.
 
Officials said it is an old scam and the caller’s voice often sounds robotic in nature. Police advise residents to hang up and not engage in any instructions given by the caller.
 
Authorities said there is no need to report such a call, unless you have fallen victim to it.
