District crisis team available today following tragedy

The Fremont Public Schools district is mourning the death of Clarmar Elementary and Pathfinder Program fourth-grade student Jaymasin Lykens. 
 
Jaymasin, 10, and three family members died as the result of a traffic accident near Scribner on Thursday morning. 
 
“This is a tragic loss for our community and school district,” said Mark Shepard, superintendent of schools. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones of Jaymasin and his family.”
 
The FPS district crisis team will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the Pathfinder Program, Clarmar Elementary and Howard Elementary.
