FREMONT – Here’s a look at local sports scores from Thursday and a look ahead at what’s coming up tonight for our areas teams:
The Archbishop Bergan volleyball team defeated DC West, three sets to one, 25-22, 25-21, 18-25, 25-19 last night at Gary D. Schmidt Gymnasium. Lauren Baker had 11 kills. Rebecca Baker had 24 set assists and Summer Bojanski had 16 digs. Nora Wurtz led the Falcons with 18 kills and five blocks. The Falcons are 7-5 and play at Yutan, Tuesday. Bergan is 11-3 and host Lincoln Lutheran and Bishop Neumann in a triangular, Tuesday.
In other high school volleyball, Bennington defeated Blair, 25-12, 25-7, 25-13 (3-0)
The Fremont High girls golf team finished 15th at the Norfolk Invite at Norfolk Country Club, yesterday, with a 424. Millard North won the meet with a 330. Alyssa Walters led Fremont with a 93. Nicole Kolbas of Lincoln Pius X was the meet medalist with a 1-over 73.
In high school softball at the Bair Complex in Lincoln, Lincoln Southeast won both games of a doubleheader with Fremont, 12-4 in six innings and 13-1 in three innings. Fremont is 9-11 on the season.
