MedExpress Fremont is closing its doors

FREMONT- MedExpress, an urgent care center highlighted for affordable costs and no appointments needed, will be closing its doors in Fremont on August 27, 2020.
MedExpress released a statement stating,
MedExpress made a very difficult decision to close its Fremont location. The center’s last day of caring for patients will be Aug. 27. We want to thank the providers and staff for their commitment to their patients. It is never an easy decision to close a center, and we value the contributions that the team has made to delivering exceptional care. Patients will receive information on how to access their medical records if needed.”
The MedExpress location in Fremont opened its doors on February 1, 2017, and provided services including urgent care, employer health services, and basic wellness and prevention services.
MedExpress recently became one of the main locations in Fremont to get tested for COVID-19 due to the pandemic. The other main testing location in Fremont is Fremont Health located at 2540 N Healthy Way.
MedExpress has roughly 300 urgent care centers and on-site locations across 27 states in the U.S. There are 10 locations in Nebraska. Just recently, MedExpress earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Ambulatory Care Accreditation for demonstrating compliance with its performance standards.
