Johnson Road Lift Station Rehabilitation Project Extended To August 7

FREMONT-  The completion date for the lift station rehabilitation project at 16th Street and Johnson Road has been
pushed back to Friday, August 7, 2020, due to issues with groundwater levels and flow. The northbound lane of Johnson Road will remain closed during this time.
The lift station project began on July 9th and was originally expected to be completed on July 17, but has now been extended twice due to complications.
The rehabilitation will consist of a new control panel and spray-on coating to line the inside of the lift station to stop the corrosion. Bypass pumping is required in order to take the station out of service. The bypass pumping will take place in the northbound lane of Johnson Road which is why the lane closure must occur.
