Neil D. Apker age 90 of Omaha, Nebraska , passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at CHI Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha. Neil was born January 22, 1930 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin to Lawrence and Beula (McHuth) Apker.
Neil grew up in several towns in Wisconsin, Iowa and in Nebraska since 1944. He graduated from Benson High School in Omaha and University of Nebraska of Omaha. He served in the US Marines in Korea as a helicopter pilot. Neil married Helen (Holtz) June 28, 1958 in Omaha. He had his own Tile and Carpet Business.
He is survived by his children, son, John (Dr. Kim) Apker and daughter, Dr. Jean Apker all of Omaha, and grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Casey, William, Mary Beth, and Grace Apker.
Preceding him is death are his parents; wife, Helen 11/27/1997 and brother, Gary Apker.
Graveside Service will be 2 PM, Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont. Military Honors will follow conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard of VFW Post #854 and American Legion Post #20.
