FPD Arrests One for Obstruction, Cites One for Trespass Over Weekend

FREMONT – The Fremont Police Department made a few arrests and a handful of citations over the weekend, including one arrest for obstructing a peace officer and one citation for criminal trespass.
On Saturday July 18th, 2020 at approximately 11:05PM, Jenna M. Boschult, 29, of Fremont was arrested on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer after she attempted to run from an officer in the 1000 block of north Nye Avenue. Boschult had an outstanding warrant for her arrest, and attempted to flee when she was spotted in public by an officer. A search of her person upon arrest resulted in an additional charge for possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Sunday July 19th, 2020 at approximately 9:30AM John U. Rush, 42, of Bennington, NE was cited on suspicion of 2nd Degree Criminal Trespassing after he was accused of banging on the windows and walls of the exterior of a residence in the 600 block of west Jackson Street.
Also on Sunday July 19th, 2020 around 6PM, two individuals were cited for theft by shoplifting in two separate incidents within 10 minutes of each otehr. Both individuals were observed not paying for items at a business in 3000 block of east 23rd Avenue. Estimated loss is $136.00 in the first case, and $20 in the second.
