FLC Food Truck Festival and Car Show
July 31 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Free
First Lutheran Church of Fremont is hosting the 4th annual Food Truck Festival and Show & Shine Car Show on their campus Thursday, July 31, from 5-7 pm. There is no admission fee to this community event. Those attending are welcome to stay and eat or pick up food to take home. Some outdoor seating will be available and since this is usually a hot time of the year, the church fellowship hall will be available to enjoy meals and conversation.
Six food trucks will be featured at this year’s event with a portion of each vendor’s proceeds benefiting the Fremont Area United Way. “We think there is a good variety of trucks…something for every taste.” said Heidi Richmond, Director of Mission & Outreach at FLC. The trucks include…Kona Ice, Nick’s Street Eats, Salt & Pepper BBQ, Sabor Casteno, Reinita’s Ice Cream, and Ring of Fire BBQ.
The Show and Shine Car Show is another exciting attraction. Anyone with a unique or classic car is invited to bring it to the event. Those who want to register cars in advance can contact Ron Schultz at (402) 720-1193 or can register beginning at 4 pm at the event. Ballots will be available for spectators to vote on a “People’s Choice” award and an “Exhibitor’s Choice” will also be recognized.
This year the special event will also double as the finale for FLC’s True North vacation Bible school that runs July 27-30 from 5:30-8:15 pm. VBS is FREE to children preschool through 6th grade who register and includes a meal and a t-shirt along with amazing Bible-learning experiences for kids to see, hear and touch! Register at www.flcfremont.org.
We will also host representatives from the Fremont Area United Way to share about the good they are doing for the community or to answer any questions. “We hope the news about this fun event for a great cause has spread from previous years and this year’s festival is the best one yet.” said Richmond.
