3RPHD- 221 New Cases Reported This Week Alone

Three Rivers Public Health Department (3RPHD) gave an update Friday afternoon stating cases are continuing to climb within the health district.
“We are continuing to see increases in cases and we need everyone to understand that this is in every community—please wear your mask and stay home if you are sick. This past week alone we had 221 cases and are averaging a 13.30% weekly positivity rate,” said Terra Uhing, Executive Director at Three Rivers Public Health Department.

According to the Three Rivers COVID-19 Dashboard, September 2020 had the highest number of COVID-19 cases of any month since the pandemic began with 663 newly confirmed cases. May 2020 holds the 2nd highest month and had 445 newly confirmed cases.
So far, October 2020 has seen 250 new cases of COVID-19. That’s an average of 27.7 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 each day in the district.
Sadly, 3RPHD is reporting three new COVID-19 related deaths.
A Dodge County man in his 60s, a Dodge County woman in her 90s with underlying health conditions, and a Washington County woman in her 70s with underlying health conditions. This brings the total death count to 16 deaths in Dodge County, 4 deaths in Saunders, and 6 deaths in Washington County for a total of 26 deaths in the 3RPHD health district.
The Three Rivers Jurisdiction has reported 2,246 positive cases of COVID-19 in the district since the pandemic began in March, with the highest influx of cases occurring in May and September 2020 so far.
