Snyder, NE – On June 12th, 2020, at approximately 11:20 pm, Dodge County deputies were dispatched to a personal injury accident that occurred on Highway 91, a short distance east of Snyder, NE.
The investigation revealed that a 2013 Nissan 370Z driven by Leon Lennemann, 57, of Scribner, NE, was traveling West on Highway 91 when his vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with an eastbound 2014 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Stacy Schlickbernd, 47, of Beemer, NE.
As a result of the collision, Leon Lennemann was pronounced dead at the scene.
Stacy Shlickbernd was transported by ambulance to Methodist Fremont Health as well as two males, 17 and 30 years old, riding in the backseat of the Chevrolet Traverse. Alan Schlickberned, 47, of Beemer, NE, was transported from the scene by Lifenet Air Medical.
Occupant restraint was in use by all occupants of the Chevrolet Traverse. Leon Lennemann was not restrained in the vehicle. The Sherriff’s office says alcohol and speed are being considered as factors in the accident.
Snyder, Dodge, and Scribner Fire and Rescue Departments assisted at the scene. The accident remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sherriff’s Office.
