Rosalie J. “Rose” Franke age 89 of Fremont passed away, Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Methodist Fremont Health. Rose was born April 22, 1931 at Whitesville, Missouri to Jesse and Mary (Varner) Palmer.
Rose grew up in Fremont and worked at Ideal Laundry, Walgreens and then was a nurses aide for over 30 years at Fremont Area Medical Center retiring in 1994. Rose married Maynard Franke on August 21, 1949 in Fremont. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2014.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and going to car shows with Maynard. She loved her annual ice cream social she hosted and her favorite holiday was Christmas and she loved to decorate for it.
Rose is survived by her children, son, Jerry (Peggy) Franke; daughters, Judy Rippy and Mary (Kenneth) Novotny all of Fremont; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Maynard; son Greg A. Franke;1 brother and 1 sister.
Funeral Service will be 11 AM, Tuesday June 16, 2020 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Dan Heuer of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont will officiate. The funeral will be livestreamed at www.mosermemorialchapels.com. Controlled visitation will be on Monday from 4-7 PM and 10-11 AM Tuesday also at Moser’s. Interment will follow the service at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont.
Memorials are suggested to the family for a fund yet to be determined.
