On Saturday, May 9, the Fremont Area Car Club is hosting its third annual “Show and Shine.”
This show is open to all cars, trucks, motorcycles and tractors, of any age or any condition. One of the organizers’ goals is to provide an opportunity for owners that do not normally display their vehicles a place to show them. There is no judging; however, 12 trophies will be awarded in various categories.

New this year are categories for the Long-Distance Award and a Work in Progress Award. So if you have a vehicle that you are working on, or maybe haven’t even started, it is welcome to the show. As in the past all of the trophies are custom made and one of a kind. The trophies are hand made by club members from old automotive, bicycle and tractor parts, and are very unique. The registration fee is only $10 per vehicle.
The show will be conducted in the parking lot at Trinity Lutheran Church, 16th & Luther Road in Fremont. Registration runs from 9 to 10:30 a.m. with the show going from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition, there will numerous raffles open to exhibitors and visitors alike. Trophy presentations will be at 1 p.m.

The show is open to the public, and everyone is invited to stop out and see the entries. In addition, the event will have four food trucks on site: Salt & Pepper Barbecue, Heladeria Reinita Ice Cream, Heladeria Taqueria Mexican Food, and Nebraska’s Best Kettle Corn.
Major sponsors include Goree Backhoe & Excavating, Diers Ford – Lincoln, Sid Dillon Auto Group, Steffy’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram, Tailgate Motors, Dillon Brothers Harley Davidson, All Metals Market, All Systems Heating and Air, All-Stor Self Storage, Green’s Tavern, Kelly Klosure, Papa Trucking & Grading, Sutton Auto Body, T & T Electric, and TCF Tile & Stone.
