Lynne Barnhart, 73, of Fremont passed away Friday, February 13, 2026, at Methodist Fremont Health. She was born July 8, 1952 in Fremont to Leon and Elaine (Kortum) Herre.
Lynne graduated from Fremont Senior High School and Grand Island School of Business. She ran an in-home daycare for many years. She also worked in the First Baptist Church Day Care. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont.
Lynne is survived by her sons, Ben (Kerry) Barnhart of Omaha and Nick (Veronica) Barnhart of Cedar Bluffs; sister, Lori (Dan) Dunn of Fremont; grandchildren, Cole Barnhart of Fremont, Morgan Barnhart of Elkhorn, Brianna Barnhart of Fremont, Dylan Barnhart of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Collins Barnhart of Cedar Bluffs; niece and nephew, Kiley (Brad) Helgenberger of Fremont and Cameron (Tammy) Dunn of North Bend and several great-nieces and nephews.
Lynne was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Chaplain Scott Jensen will officiate. Visitation will be 5 ot 7 p.m. Wednesday also at Moser’s. Visitation continues 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday.
Interment will be at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont.
