Hirschman presentation on India set for Keene

library-books

At 6:30 Tuesday night Tuesday night, Fremont resident Rich Hirschman will present the conclusion of his two-part trip to India at Keene Memorial Library.

A land filled with contradictions and rich with history, Hirschman calls India the most interesting country he has visited. The presentation will be conducted in the library’s Community Meeting Room West and will last about 45 minutes. The presentation, which is geared toward adults, is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

A history and geography teacher at Fremont High School, Hirschman retired in 2001. In retirement, he has spent extensive time traveling with his family, solo, and often in tour groups.

He has visited all seven continents and about 60 countries. To him, history is not just about memorizing names and dates, but the
study of important events and how they connect with what is happening today.
