FREMONT, Neb. — Midland University welcomed Concordia University on Wednesday evening for a midweek Great Plains Athletic Conference matchup. After a back-and-forth first quarter, the Bulldogs’ full-court pressure proved too much for the Warriors to handle, as Midland fell to Concordia, 98-37.
After a quick 4-0 run from the Bulldogs to start the game, a layup by Zoey Sims got Midland on the board. Both offenses stalled briefly before a layup by Juliana Jones ended the drought and put Concordia ahead 6-2. A layup by Kristin Vieselmeyer extended Concordia’s lead to 12-5 with four minutes left in the opening quarter. The teams traded baskets, but the Bulldogs maintained control.
