Three Rivers Public Health Department (3RPHD) is encouraging everyone to take steps to stay healthy this fall and winter by getting vaccinated against influenza (flu) and COVID-19.
Both vaccines are now available at the Fremont, Blair, and Wahoo clinic locations.
“Vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to protect yourself, your family, and our community from severe illness,” said Terra Uhing, executive director of Three Rivers Public Health Department. “We’re making it easier than ever to get vaccinated by expanding our hours and ensuring access for everyone—whether or not they have insurance.”
Flu and COVID-19 vaccines are available at all Three Rivers locations. Insurance will be billed for vaccination services; however, for individuals without insurance, a limited supply of vaccines is available at no cost through the Vaccine for Adults (VFA) program.
Children and teens may also qualify for free vaccines through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program if they are Medicaid-enrolled or Medicaid-eligible, do not have health insurance, are American Indian or Alaska Native, or are underinsured (meaning their current health insurance does not cover certain vaccines). Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome as availability allows. To schedule an appointment, please call 402-727-5396.
To make access to care even easier, 3RPHD has expanded hours at its Fremont clinic and continues to provide services at its Blair and Wahoo locations. These updated hours give residents more options and ensure everyone has the opportunity to stay up to date on their vaccinations and other important public health services.

The flu and COVID-19 viruses continue to circulate in our communities, especially during the colder months when people spend more time indoors. Getting vaccinated not only helps prevent illness but also reduces the spread to those who are more vulnerable, such as older adults, young children, and people with underlying health conditions. 3RPHD remains committed to promoting prevention, education, and access to care for all residents across Dodge, Saunders, and Washington Counties.
