Cheryl Ann Lamme, 82, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 11, 1943, in Fremont, she lived a rich and vibrant life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to those around her. Cheryl was the daughter of Merle and Kathryn Warden. She grew up in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School in 1961. She attended the University of Nebraska where she was a proud member of her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. Upon graduation, Cheryl taught elementary school for the Ralston School District and the Lakewood, Colorado, school system. She married Nicholas Lamme on August 6, 1966, and together they built a life centered on family, faith, and community. To this marriage were born two sons, William David Lamme and Alexander Nicholas Lamme.

Known for her generous spirit and kindness, Cheryl had a passion for helping others. She was a teacher, mother, grandmother, friend and volunteer who touched countless lives throughout her life. Her warm smile and willingness to help wherever needed in her community left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She was an active member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Fremont where she spent many hours in worship to the Lord and in service to others. She was a member of PEO Chapter EX; and she volunteered for Fremont Avenue of Flags, the Fremont Area Community Foundation, and Teammates, to name a few of the organizations to which Cheryl devoted much of her time.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Nick; son, Bill (Sara) Lamme, and grandchildren Kathryn and William; daughter-in-law, Janae Lamme, and grandchildren Nicholas, Alexandra, Avary and Alayna; her brother, Stephen Warden; and, her Goldendoodle, Daisy. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Gary Warden, and son Alexander Lamme. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace and reunited with those who went before her.

Cheryl’s family sincerely extends their deepest thanks and gratitude to all who so kindly and passionately cared for Cheryl, including the staff at The Heritage, at Shalimar Gardens Memory Unit, Methodist Hospital Fremont and Dunklau Gardens Hospice Unit.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at St. James Episcopal Church in Fremont. Private family burial will be in Ridge Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to PEO Chapter EX, Fremont Avenue of Flags, Fremont Area Community Foundation or Teammates. Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont in charge of arrangements.
