SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), along with presenting sponsor, Hauff Mid-America Sports, has announced the following volleyball players of the week for contests played September 1-7, 2025. Midland University’s Delainey Cast was selected as the GPAC Defender of the Week alongside Stella Winterfeld of Northwestern College (Attacker) and Kyla Dyrstad of Morningside University (Setter).
Cast, a sophomore from Syracuse, Nebraska, averaged 4.56 digs/set this week as Midland earned a pair of wins on the court. She added one service ace during the Warriors’ five-set win on the road over the College of Saint Mary to open GPAC action.
