
Donna Evelyn Gagliani, 86, of rural Fremont passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont surrounded by family. She was born September 5, 1938 in Oakland to Oscar and Anna (Nelson) Carlson.
Donna grew up at Oakland and graduated from Oakland High School. Her family also lived at Uehling. She was trained as a switchboard operator at Northwestern Bell in Omaha. She was a switchboard operator at Midland College for many years. Donna married Ralph Gagliani on November 30, 1957 in Hooper, NE. They made their home in Fremont and then rural Fremont.
She was a member of Pohocco Lutheran Church south of Fremont. Donna and Ralph were officers and very active members of the Starlighters Square Dance Club in Fremont and travel throughout the U.S. dancing.
Survived by son, Michael (Anjie) Gagliani of Omaha; daughters, Teresa (Joseph) Reynolds of Fremont and Alisa (Gary) Joaquin of Beaverton, Oregon; grandchildren, Lynne Joaquin, Roxie and Jarrod Pike; great-grandchildren, Moriah and Zaden.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; sister, Joy Bowland and brothers, Gerald and Darrell Carlson.
Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday also at Moser’s.
Interment will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
