A motorcycle accident Thursday night in Omaha has claimed the life of a Fremont man.
Omaha police responded to a crash on Highway 75 — also known as John F. Kennedy Expressway — near L Street just prior to 11 p.m.
Jose Paulo Wedergren was driving a 2006 Victory Vegas motorcycle northbound when he hit the side of a 2011 BMW sedan. The collision caused him to be ejected from his motorcycle. He came to rest on the shoulder while the bike continued north before striking a 2011 Honda SUV.
Wedergren was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Officials said he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The drivers of the BMW and Honda were not hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
