Ardith M. Cantral, 93, of Kearney, formerly North Platte, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025, at Brookestone Gardens in Kearney. She was born May 1, 1932 to Edward A. and Hilda C (Studt) Moser in Dodge.
Ardith lived in Dodge until moving to North Bend in 1942. She graduated from North Bend Central and received her teaching certificate from Midland College. She taught at District 79 in Saunders County for two years. Ardith married Richard Cantral June 3, 1952 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in North Bend. They moved to North Platte in 1952. Ardith worked as a para educator at McDaid in North Platte until retiring in 1983. In 2020 they moved to Kearney. Richard passed away on May 17, 2023.
She was a former member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and Altar Society in North Platte for 68 years. Member of the Prairie Lake Boat Club in North Platte for 64 years. Current member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Kearney.
Survived by her sons, Rick Cantral (Joyce Ann) of Centertown, Missouri, Dr. David (Kim) Cantral of Kearney and Mike (Diana) Cantral of Aurora, Colorado; daughters, Cindy (John) Seberger of Lincoln, Lori (Ralph) Grimit of Tucson, Arizona, and Denise (John E.) Koller of Arapahoe; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Caryn) Moser of North Bend, Jim (Lynda) Moser of Fremont, Dick (Donna) Moser of Sacramento, California, and Eldon (Cheryl) Moser of Yutan; sixteen grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Edward (Doris) Moser; sisters, Margie (John) Reynolds, Mae (Charles) Jirkovsky, Mercedes Hartman Roth (Mel Roth and Richard Hartman), Kathy Powers, and Elizabeth Moser.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2025, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in North Bend. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7 Sunday, June 8th at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery in North Bend.
